EFC Presents at the 5th International Water
Association World Water Congress
EFC's Conference Documents:
EFC Research Associates Shadi Eskaf (above, left) and Rich Thorsten presented research findings on North Carolina water and wastewater utilities at the International Water Association Conference in Beijing, China. EFC successfully earned a formal presentation at the conference, which attracted approximately 1,700 submissions, through the invitation of the Water Environment Federation. Rich and Shadi's presentation, part of the WEF's session on Financing and Rate Setting, overviewed how well North Carolina's government-owned and non-profit utilities are meeting cost recovery, affordability, conservation, and future planning objectives and analyzed what cost, demand, institutional, and geographic factors impacted water and sewer bills.
