This course, hosted annually by the EFC, provides utility practitioners with new skills and up-to-date information on infrastructure finance planning strategies and funding resources.

Topics covered in 2009 included:

  • An update on public state and federal funding programs, including potential stimulus infrastructure funding
  • Crafting inter-local infrastructure agreements and partnerships
  • Pricing and infrastructure fee options
  • Case studies of successful capital finance planning
  • Private finance options and trends
  • Methods for successfully presenting information to funding sources, the public, and elected officials
