The EFC participated in this first annual conference by organizing a panel session entitled "Water and Wastewater Finance - How Do You Find the Money for all those Projects?" The session was offered twice during the three day conference. Stacey Berahzer from the EFC moderated the panel and gave a general overview of some of the different options that are currently available for financing water and wastewater projects in the State of Georgia. As part of the steering committee for the conference, the EFC assisted in recruiting the other panel speakers on this topic. Jason Bodwell gave an overview of the funding programs offered by Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority (GEFA), with special emphasis on the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds. Bill Zieburtz from Jordan, Jones and Goulding addressed water rate structures and how they affect a utility’s income and financial planning. Click on the links below to download each presentation.
