The Bolin Creek Watershed Restoration Initiative was started in 2006 to provide organization and support for the Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro to participate in EPA's Watershed Restoration Program. In 2009 the team received a 319 grant for a first round of projects with the assistance of North Carolina State University. SERWQAN has assisted with data collection, surveying, engineering design and construction for two separate projects. One is a stream restoration project in Bladwin Park, and the other is the development of stormwater BMPs designed to reduce erosion in the Mill Race Watershed.
